One
hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of car I drove,
what kind of home I lived in, how much money was in my bank account,
nor what my clothes looked like.
But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child.
Mercy International
Mercy
International was founded in 1985 by Rob and Jean Dunk with the support
of their church in the city of Brisbane, Australia. Since it's
inception, Mercy International has been extending practical love and
care to children and young people at risk or in crisis in Thailand,
with a particular focus on children with HIV/AIDS and children orphaned
by AIDS. (For more information about us click here.)
Mercy Spotlight
Make
a difference and give a child a real start in life - support their
future by providing access to education. In most countries, education
is free to every child and it's easy to take it for granted. When our
children come of school age, we buy their uniforms, school supplies,
shoes, and send them off to begin the journey that will propel them
into their successful future. This priviledge is not shared by the
majority of third-world countries such as Thailand and certainly not
available for the children that Mercy International seek to assist. Make
2006 the year you take the hand a small child and embark on the journey
to a brighter future and give the gift of learning. (For more
